1. Agreement to these terms

These Terms and Conditions form an agreement between you and Wavento concerning your access to and use of the Video Downloader Android application and related services. By downloading, accessing, or using the app, you agree to these terms and our Privacy Policy.

If you use the app for a business or another organization, you confirm that you have authority to accept these terms for that organization. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

2. Eligibility

You must be legally able to enter into this agreement. The app is not directed to children under 13, or a higher minimum age where required by local law. If you are under the age of legal majority where you live, use the app only with permission from a parent or legal guardian.

3. What the app provides

Video Downloader provides a built-in browser, media detection, file and quality selection, background downloads, a local media library, playback, sharing, and an optional Private Folder. Features may vary by Android version, device capability, website behavior, network availability, location, and source platform.

The app may not detect or download every media file. Websites can change their players, links, authentication, encryption, or access rules at any time. Live streams, digital rights management protected media, unsupported formats, expired links, and content that requires unavailable credentials may not work.

4. Your responsibilities

You are solely responsible for the URLs you open, the media you request, and how you store, use, share, publish, or distribute downloaded files. You agree that you will:

• Respect copyright, neighboring rights, privacy, publicity, contract, and other rights.
• Obtain any permission required from the content owner, platform, or person depicted.
• Comply with the terms, access controls, and download rules of each website or service.
• Use downloaded media only for lawful purposes.
• Review files before relying on, sharing, or publishing them.
• Maintain your own backups of files you need to keep.

The app does not grant you ownership of or a license to third-party content. The ability to technically access or download a file does not mean you have legal permission to do so.

5. YouTube is not supported

Video Downloader does not provide downloads from YouTube. The app blocks YouTube URLs from its download and media resolution flows because YouTube's terms do not permit this use.

You must not attempt to use the app, modified versions, automation, redirects, alternate domains, or any other method to bypass this restriction. You can watch YouTube content through YouTube's authorized services.

6. Prohibited conduct

You must not:

• Use the app to infringe intellectual property, privacy, publicity, or other rights.
• Download unlawful, abusive, exploitative, or malicious content.
• Bypass paywalls, access controls, digital rights management, encryption, authentication, geographic restrictions, or technical protection measures.
• Interfere with websites, networks, the app, or other users, including through excessive automated requests.
• Introduce malware, harmful code, or content intended to compromise a device or service.
• Reverse engineer, decompile, modify, redistribute, rent, sell, or sublicense the app except where applicable law expressly permits it.
• Misrepresent affiliation with Wavento or use the app to provide an unlawful commercial downloading service.

7. Third-party websites and services

The app displays and interacts with independent websites, media hosts, content delivery networks, Android services, and a third-party social media resolution provider. Wavento does not own, operate, endorse, or control those services or their content.

Your use of a third-party website or service is governed by its own terms and privacy policy. A source may restrict downloading, require an account, remove content, change a URL, or stop working with the app without notice. You are responsible for reviewing and following those rules.

The names and marks of third-party platforms belong to their respective owners. Video Downloader is not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by YouTube, Google, Meta, TikTok, Vimeo, Dailymotion, or other content platforms unless expressly stated.

8. Files, storage, and Private Folder

You are responsible for storage space, network charges, file management, and device security. Downloading can consume substantial data and battery. Background progress notifications and network preferences are provided as conveniences and do not guarantee completion.

Private Folder uses Android biometric or device credential protection and app-private storage. It is not a cloud backup service. Private files are excluded from the app's Android backup and device transfer rules, and changes to device security or biometric configuration may make existing private files unavailable or unrecoverable.

Uninstalling the app, clearing app data, deleting files, losing the device, changing storage, or resetting device credentials can permanently remove or make content unavailable. Wavento cannot restore files that exist only on your device.

9. License and Wavento rights

Subject to these terms, Wavento grants you a limited, personal, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to install and use the app on compatible Android devices you control, for lawful purposes.

The app, its source code, design, branding, text, and other Wavento materials are owned by or licensed to Wavento and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. Except for the limited license above, no rights are transferred to you.

10. Advertising

The app displays advertisements supplied by third-party advertising networks. Wavento does not select, endorse, or control the specific advertisements shown, and an advertisement appearing in the app is not a recommendation by us.

Your dealings with an advertiser, including any purchase, are between you and that advertiser. Wavento is not a party to those dealings and is not responsible for them.

You must not interfere with, obscure, automate, or artificially generate interactions with advertisements, and you must not use the app in a way intended to produce advertising revenue dishonestly.

11. Google Play and Android

If you obtain the app through Google Play, your use of Google Play is also subject to Google's applicable terms. These terms are between you and Wavento, not Google. Google is not responsible for providing support for the app except as required by applicable law or Google Play terms.

12. Changes, availability, and termination

We may update, change, suspend, or discontinue any part of the app to improve security, comply with law or platform rules, address provider changes, or maintain the service. We do not guarantee that a feature, website integration, or media source will remain available.

We may restrict or terminate access where technically possible if you materially breach these terms, misuse the app, or create legal or security risk. You may stop using the app at any time by uninstalling it. Sections that by their nature should survive termination will continue to apply.

13. Disclaimers

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, the app is provided "as is" and "as available." Wavento disclaims warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, availability, accuracy, security, and uninterrupted operation.

We do not warrant that the app will find a particular video, produce a particular format or quality, resume every download, work with every website, or preserve every file. We do not review or verify third-party content and are not responsible for content you access or download.

14. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Wavento and its affiliates, licensors, service providers, and personnel will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost data, lost files, lost profits, business interruption, device damage, or claims arising from third-party content or services.

Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the minimum amount required by applicable law. Nothing in these terms excludes rights or liability that applicable law does not allow us to exclude.

15. Indemnity

To the extent permitted by applicable law, you agree to defend, indemnify, and hold Wavento harmless from claims, losses, liabilities, and reasonable costs arising from your unlawful use of the app, your downloaded or shared content, your violation of these terms, or your infringement of another person's rights.

16. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws that apply to Wavento and your use of the app, without overriding mandatory consumer protections available where you live. Before starting formal proceedings, you agree to contact us and make a good-faith effort to resolve the issue informally.

17. General terms

If a provision of these terms is unlawful or unenforceable, it will be limited or removed only to the extent necessary, and the remaining provisions will continue in effect. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. You may not assign your rights under these terms without our consent. We may assign these terms as part of a reorganization, financing, merger, sale, or transfer of the app or related business.

These terms and the Privacy Policy form the entire agreement concerning the app unless additional terms are presented for a specific feature. We may update these terms by posting a revised version and changing the date above. If a change is material, we may provide additional notice where required.
